Wednesday, February 22nd, 2012

- Do not talk to the opposing parties insurance company.  Insurance companies are not looking to treat you fairly or looking out for your best interest. If you receive a call from an adjuster, simply decline to speak to them. You do not have to give them any information.

- Seek medical treatment immediately. If you’ve been seriously hurt, go to the ER immediately. If you do not require immediate medical attention, make an appointment with your primary case physical as soon as possible. Do not try and tough it out. Some serious internal injuries are not noticeable without the proper medical diagnosis.

- Gather as much information as you can. Exchange information with the other party. Get their insurance information. If there are any witnesses, get their phone numbers. If you receive any reports, bills, or anything associated with your accident, keep it in a safe place. This will help in the future to set up your file.

If you’re not sure what do to, contact a personal injury attorney for a free consultation about your case.
